My BIG Little Town

Welcome, Stranger
Think about the town where you currently live: its local customs, traditions, and hangouts, its slang. What would be the strangest thing about this place for a first-time visitor?

Navigation would be problematic. The layout is trying, confusion is a given. I would recommend GPS for sure, if you’re not a techie use your old fashioned road map. Once you familiarize yourself with the geography you’ll be fine. Also the two surrounding freeways cold pose an issue as well, familiarize yourself with east, west, north and south or you will be endlessly backtracking – a frustrating task. I would consider my town a ‘big little town,’ lots to do but beware, town closes relatively early. Tons of winery’s so be sure you heed to NOT drinking and driving, I value MY life. Once you master the lay of the land you’ll be unstoppable in finding plenty to do, interests for all.

  1. I also live in an area where the compass headings do not match the highway system. The major highway runs in a 3/4 circle and at any given point, east/west/north/south is of no help in figuring out which exit to take.
